Take a trip to this historic capital city and enjoy a flat fast course. Much of the route is shared with the Berlin Marathon and enjoys good wide roads. The start and finish both have the Brandenburg Gate as the backdrop. 2023 saw Eilish McColgan win the ladies race in a new European Record time.
There are direct flights to Berlin from Bristol Airport.
We tend to stay in the area close to the main shopping street - The Kurfürstendamm which is one of the most famous avenues in Berlin, and close to the Zoologischer Garten train station which has a direct link to the airport. From here you can have a good warm up run to the start, then after the run enjoy the walk back to the hotel and take the opportunity to support the later runners in the race. We like this area as there is a choice of restaurants within walking distance.
Expo and parkrun are close to each other and are easy to get to on the U-Bahn, we like to do the parkrun as an easy shake out and then pop into the Expo to collect our numbers and pick up some race merchandise.
